Ive just completed a fresh install on my SSD, but Im now having trouble linking new steam install to my original steam folder.

How do I do this so I dont have to delete and re-install my games again?

Luckily found an .exe within my original file that allowed me to link it to the new steam (with a new install), so sorted now.

==========================================================

Doing the above has brought up a new issue however, to run steam from this new link, I need to constantly run as admin to get it working.
How can I change this?

Set it to run as admin. :p

Right click, Properties, Compatibility, Run this program as an administrator, OK.

I would normally rename my steam folder steamold.

Make a new steam folder where you want it to be.
Install steam into the new empty steam folder.

Pull the steamapps folder from steamold to steam.

Start steam.
Then delete steamold when i was happy with a stable steam.

At 720GB in my steamapps folders im never gonna reinstall all that again.:eek:
