Having a bit of trouble with Steam... On my old Windows XP setup, I had the launch options for various games as '-fullscreen -sw' which made the game fullscreen, but windowed. The result was it looked identical to normal, except alt-tabbing becomes instant rather than the speed it is without these settings.

However, on my new Win7 setup, it doesn't seem to work properly... Here's a screenie:

As you can see, the top bar is still visible, and when I move it up, it auto-resets it's self back into view. On XP, that was never there is the first place... I do remember something about a borderless command setting, is this what I'm missing?

EDIT: Answer found.

For quick alt-tabbing in Steam games, set the game's launch options (Right click the game > Properties) and enter '-fullscreen -sw -noborder' without the quote marks :)

some steam games start in windows mode for me aswell (with window 7).

Usually just press Alt+Enter and it goes full screen, hope it helps.

I want it to start in windowed mode, but also fullscreen without a border, if that makes sense :)

Also, the Alt+Enter doesn't work at all :S
