Sorry if i am late to the party but steam link is in beta on the android play store. I have hovered over buying a steam link box for ages but now there is no need. Steam link software is now in beta and is free to download.
I set it up last night and it works really well and means i can game in the lounge when i cant be bothered going to my man cave (my wife is so pleased !

Moto G5 phone
Zidoo H6 pro (which is my media box, and it happily takes an xbox 1 pad as well)
Nexus 10 tablet
Sony 65XE9305 (not that i need to, this is my pc monitor)
infact my only device it wont work on is my ancient xoom tablet.
It was a tiny bit laggy every now and then, however this was over wifi, so i am going to set up wired next time. (but the zidoo h6 pro is notoriously rubbish at wireless - amongst other things)
