Intending to play GTA V on PC but on my Big screen (55")
Now, my rig is maybe 2 metres away from the TV so would you guys recommend just buying a long enough HDMI and run it from my rig to the TV directly or just save the expense of buying a good quality HDMI cable that's 4K capable and using the TVS built in Steam Link instead?

Is Steam link even 1440p capable let alone 4K? :D

If your PC is that close, just run a lead to the TV and use Steam Big Picture. I have exactly the same setup. I stream to the TV downstairs using an Nvidia Shield, but the HDMI setup wins every time for me.

Steam Link is an ok solution IF you cannot run a HDMI cable, but it does introduce latency, and compression artifacts. Works just as well over a clean 5ghz wifi signal as ethernet in my experience.

Anyway...2m away? Just get a HDMI cable.

Cheers, guys.

Imagine HDMI 2.0a / 2.1 cable would be better suited then?

Not sure if GTA V will hit 60fps @ 4K on my rig but my TV is only 60Hz anyway, id probably be happy with it at 1440P to be honest.

I've tried this before and honestly, game streaming is only "okay" if you play with a controller..

Anything first person with keyboard and mouse is pure lagony!!
