Hey, not sure if this is the right forum but I was wondering.
I've just ordered a new PC, I know this will improve my gaming experience no end.
But, occasionally I play some of the more gamepad orientated games through the steam link app on my TV.
I've noticed that most games work absolutely fine, e.g. Dark Souls Prepare to Die edition. But, if I try and play a game where my PC itself struggles a bit, e.g. Dark Souls 3 (My PC is 8 years old) this is then magnified through the steam app so that whilst DS3 is playable on my PC but a little iffy at times, it's completely unplayable on the Steam Link app.
So presumably this means the Steam Link app is doing more than simply mirroring my screen otherwise it would either be rubbish for all games (if it was the network link) or mirror the performance I was getting on my PC itself, is there processing involved where a struggling PC will be tipped over the edge into unplayability by using the Steam Link App?
I did try to look this up but couldn't find any info.
