Steam Machine - worth it ?

Looking to maybe upgrade my pc at some point , was wondering what everyone's opinion was on these ? I literally only ever use my current setup for gaming anyway so thought it might be a better option .. I've seen one with an i7 @ 4ghz and a 980ti for £1360 , I don't think I'd be able to build a more powerful gaming tower for the same money would I ? And i would be able to plug it into my tv until I can afford a rog swift monitor. Any opinions would be much appreciated

I would just build a tower and get a Steam Link if you fancy playing some games on the TV.

Steam machines really aren't worth it right now. Steam is is a steaming pile which is terribly optimised giving way less performance than windows. You'd be better off building your self a nice matx or mitx build

Steam machines perform significantly worse than there PC counterparts at the moment so I'd advice to upgrade your current rig.

You will get less performance for more money and a bunch of new hassles most likely software-wise, does't seem like a good deal at the moment honestly.

... Going to build a new rig instead , might take me a while though hopefully gonna order a phanteks evolv case tomorrow make a start !

I would wait for Steam Machines to mature a bit first, they're in early stages and a PC is still the way to go for now.
