Steam Marines and play its freely available alpha version. Interesting steampunk setting and the traditional procedural generation of levels and items aside, the game innovatively lets you control a squad of four all the while featuring a cover system, destructible terrain and cute 2D visuals. There's a ton of -addictive- fun to be had.
