Ok I did some major trawling around the net looking for an answer to this but I'm hoping you guys will have better experiences
Basically I'm looking for a way to install steam games on multiple drives. Ie all games on one drive but one or two on another. As my steam install folder reaches the half a tb mark I'm starting to think theres better places some of the stuff belongs, which could result in faster boot times.
Now the general consensus on the planet is that steam doesnt allow this no matter what you try, and people have been attempting to find a way around it since it first came out. A couple of threads do mention success using one of those link utilities that makes windows think a folder is a link to another drive, but when I trialled that steam just downloaded the files again into the folder, even though it was a link lol.
So I am hoping someone on here would have some ingenious solution which could help me out. It would ofc also be very handy for SSD owners who want one or two specific games on the SSD and the rest elsewhere.
