Hey all,

Here's the dealio...

I have one hard drive that currently holds my OS and everything else - but I have recently got a new 1TB hard drive - it currently holds hardly anything, and I want to now take advantage of that extra space.

I only have a few games installed in my Steam folder due to space restrictions - but if Steam was on my other hard drive, I'd be able to download all the games and have them available whenever :D

Today, I'm going to re-install windows from scratch on my original hard drive - however if I wanted to install Steam and all my games onto my other hard drive - would this be a problem at all? Would this cause any issues in the future? And is it as easy as just installing Steam on the other hard drive instead of my original hard drive?

Thanks,

Marky

I'm sure something to this effect gets asked twice a week :p

I don't quite understand you're issue. Why would installing Steam onto a difference drive cause any problems? The only time it gets tricky and needs a bit more info is when you're trying to install steam games on 2 drives at once like an SSD.

Just move the steamapps folder onto your new 1TB drive so you don't have to bother dling everything again, install steam there and it'll work fine.
