Personally I love GOG.com. Most of the games I buy though are from Steam simply because of the shear size of the store and the attraction to it from Developers.
I'm looking forward to seeing how well Galaxy does for GOG. Really hope it takes off, although I can see it lagging behind Steam when it comes to AAA titles.
I had never used GOG until this week but I absolutely love the fact that I know the games will work regardless of internet connection. They are gonna get a lot of my money for sure.
Steam for every game possible. I like to get the achievements, have access to community guides and workshop etc. Plus just like to have all my games in one place for the ease of just signing into one account and can manage all my games from there.
I do however have an origin account just for a couple of games, but i do so begrudgingly. I'd much rather have them on steam. More annoying as I have the first 2 games on steam and then have to use a different service to play the third .
i would prefer gog but its kind of annoying having to redownload a game when it gets updated, so unless its retro stuff i tend to stick with steam. i saw a while ago that gog were going to do an optional download client which would auto update your games but that doesn't seem to have happened yet
I buy games from both. For older titles GOG is much better, because they actually support old games on modern OS's (Steam do not guarantee the games they sell will work).
