Steam - Painkiller worth it?

Is it worth buying this game? I remember there was a lot to tournaments for this game when i came out. And ive seen the film also . $20 think i might invest in this but not too sure atm.

One of the first games with stake guns (the first?), and fun...just a bit repetitive.

dissapointed played the demo didnt like it one bit , the bobbing made me feel sick ..lol just didnt like the feel atall, I think ill stick with Serious Sam 2

I hated it from the Demo too, and I thought it would be a game i'd love as I love that sort of gameplay.

A year after that I got hold of the full thing and played right through it. My opinion changed, it's an amazingly fun game

Great game even to this day, you can turn bobbing off if it makes you queezy

Might give it another shot without the bobbing :/ It just seemed to quake vs serious sam type o game.

It's what Quake 4 should have been and never was: lots of monsters, waves of attacks, lots of hidden areas etc. The graphic design is amongst the best of the last few years - check out the last level of the main game. The bosses are BIG bosses, and the hard bit is working out the trick to killing them in most cases.

But yes, a great (if simple) game.

Painkiller wazs the best MP i think i have ever played.

It is just pure fun and skill. Shame it was complete pap around the edges, when looking at it from Video Making and such, but otherwise it was just awesome.

Used to play it constantly and even entered a few pro tournys in it, very good game.

Never played the SP though , and i know the MP scene is dead now

as the $20 is with the expansions, ive not bought it as of yet , still cant make up my mind + i pre orderd Sup Com today :/
