Steam prepurchase/preload not activated??

Hey all. I prepurchased Wolfenstein The New order and preloaded when the facility was available.
The games been out days and yet my library states the game is not available until release??

I've just deleted the local content and tried re-downloading but it still has a preload staus and the game is not released.

I've opened a steam support ticket but that could take days.

Anyone had this issue before?
Any fixes?

If it helps my ip is in the caribbean as i'm working there but I have a UK steam account.

Got some spare time and really want to play this!! Very frustrating. Won't bother prepurchasing again.

You on a 32 bit os? if so, you can't play it anyway as its a 64 bit game.

If not, you could probably just use a VPN, connect to a UK server, login to steam while on the VPN, launch the game, then exit, logout of steam then back in and it should stay unlocked.
 
Still had a refund option as the game was allegedly not released, so refunded.
Trouble is now I cannot buy it again as the payment step is not working.......
The usual steam tripe of try again in a minute.

as much as I need steam, by being abroad. It sometimes is a piece of **** and typically when theres a game you really want.

Well thats my gaming window out for the weekend. Thanks Steam you *****.

He says caribbean which would be why its not unlocked as its controlled by IP and not where the account is Registered to as it stops people just setting up accounts in the US to get games earlier only way around this is VPN
Its not steams fault it the way most systems are these days it all controlled by ip from youtube to origin to steam

Although I received my refund in my Steam wallet I still cannot purchase this game.
Can't even update my visa card details.
I have, since being in the Caribbean bought tons of games off Steam.
Hence my puzzlement.
Guess I'll have to open another support ticket, although I may have got a bit short in my last two replies to them........
In the meantime I'll set up a VPN.
Never really had much trouble with Steam. Judging by some of the issues with W.N.O waiting for better drivers would be wise.

Just installed Tunnel Bear free VPN, clicked UK and lo and behold W.N.O purchased (again) and downloading.

So for those that mentioned about account address and IP location are correct.
I'm guessing this is not for all games though as this is the 1st time its happened.
