Steam Problem - Help Needed

Hmm I have a weird problem. I havent played HL2 for some time now so I thought I would give it a quick go. When I launch steam I can only Play Counter Strike Source. I can't play HL2 or Half Life 2 Deathmatch.

I have removed the blob file and done it all again and still no worky

any ideas

can you give a little more description as to what actually happens, please?

try going into c:/prog files/valve/steam/ and there should be a text document called 'steam.log', what does it say as the last log?

Im thinking that it maybe NOD32 for some reason. I turned it off and HL2DM is working ok now. Strange as I have not had this with anti virus before
