Steam problem please help no game is loading

Hi guys,

Everything was fine until I bought Homefront, I installed it and everytime i try and launch it, it gives mte the intro videos but as soon as it actully ment to load the game I just get a black screen. It's even happening with Shogun 2 not as well and any other games I linked to my steam account. I deinstalled steam and reinstalled it, yet it still happens.

I want formating my PC to be the last option. Can anybody help?

I can play Battlefield bad compant 2, (bought it of EA downloader) so it must be steam related
 
Ok I tried that guys, but when I load up a game now it just says "steam has stopped working".

I think I will deinstall and reinstall steam and deleted any files and folders.

Any other thing I can try before that?

Delete all file in the main directory apart from steamapps and steam.exe and try running it then. It'll reupdate and you shud then be fine. :)
