well ive had steam for a while and recently made another partition on my hard drive, so got steam on both partitions.

the problem is that when i launch steam it updates from an early version (just steam, not my games) as shown below...

so as i dont use the other partition to play games i uninstalled it from the old one to see if that made a difference but still it updates.

ive searched a bit and deleted some file but it didnt change anything.

anyone have a clue what the problem could be?

Erm? Don't you just let it update and do its business and it'll update itself to the newest version with the "My Games" thing and all? It's like that on mine and probably everybodys.

What actually is the problem? It looks like that still on mine when it's updating from startup, or at least the last time I remember it doing that, as the current visual style of Steam is just a skin over the top still I think.

the problem is it updates like that every time i launch it, which it isnt supposed to, i get the fancy new skin when its finished yea but it should stay like that and not update everytime i launch steam.
