Steam problems since update just now?

Steam you piece of ****.

Isn't Steam technially a virus now as it is effectively disabling your internet?

So yes infact Steam is a virus.
 
Ok i havent tried Steam today but i was up all night just trying to log into steam.... I got off work at 2pm yesterday, got home and steam worked sort of... I could sign in to my game list and most servers showed up.... except some server where showing no activaty, even though friends of mine where on them playing! About 6pm every thing went wrong.... All night i tried to get steam working.

What is happening is, i get to the log in screen for steam, i put in my detail and it keep telling me that it can not connect to the steam servers.... I dont even get to the main screen of steam!

Unfortunatly i uninstall my whole steam directory from my pc, so ive lost all my games, and ill need to download them all again!

P.S I dont know if this is related, but when i said i didnt see any activaty on the servers my friends where on. I meant steam showed no server on the ip and port they where playing on, also X-Fire didnt see the server on the IP and Port either! I went to the website for that Clans Server, and that did show activaty.

P.S.S Im running Vista Ultimat 64Bit
