Hey,
Weird question so beat with me. I've a code for a beta spare that I want to give to a friend for his birthday - I was given a few when I went to a games convention in London to hand out to friends and whomever. However that was awhile back and I didn't want to just give him the code in case he gets disappointed that it doesn't work and he's left with no gift and me with egg on my face
Stupid question time: When you put a code into Steam, does it say "you're about to activate this product, do you wish to continue?" or does it just automatically activate it? Because if it's the first, I can test it out before giving it to him.
Code is for CS beta - there isn't an expiry date on it so I'm fairly sure that it's okay, but thought it best to see if there was anyway to make sure!
Thanks
