Steam purchase problems

Anyone else having this error message when trying to purchase from Steam?

"There has been an internal error initializing your transaction. Please contact support for assistance."

I've never hadf this before.
 
Never seen it myself, I'd try again. If you get the same message contact support. Maybe your bank has blocked the transaction for some reason or Valve are suspicious.
 
I've tried it a few times, still the same. My cards are fine as i've used one today but Steam won't have it.
I quick look at the Steam forums tells me that all is not well there and there are others unable to purchase.
