Steam Question

Hello,

I've just downloaded Steam on my PC, There's about 6 games I want to pre-order, the question I have is. Do Steam take the money when you pre-order or do they take the money once the games released?

Yea, I normally pre-order with Game, they only take payment once the games been posted to you, I find that helpfull as I can pre-order all the games I want without worry of one big lump sum coming out all at once.

I'd like to see both as an option.

Sometimes I just want to buy a game, pay for it, and just forget about it until release. If the games not out for months on the other hand, I don't want my money locked away doing nothing.
