Hello all,

Due to sales and what not Ive collected a vast library of games on steam 'like everyone else on here no doubt' but I was wondering if it's possible to sort games by date purchased or date activated so I can work my way through oldest to newest games.

It seems like a simple basic thing that Steam should have but as of yet I can not find a way of doing it..

Many Thanks

In your library, click on "Games" next to the search bar, and change the option to Recent.

yeah, problem with that is that it shows games recently played, not installed / activated in date order, but I guess this is the closest way i'll get to it,..

I dont think you can sort it in the library by date but Account Details/Store Transactions will list your games by date of purchase/activation.
Good shout, probably the best way. But if you have a lot of DLC it will list all of these too so can be a bit cluttered.
