I liked Microsoft's Train Simulator from aeons ago. Is it similar to that?

It's at least partly made by the same people (kuju). My brother has both of them, says there's some features that were in ms train sim that are missing from this and vice versa. Seems decent enough. I don't really know anything about it though I've only watched him crashing a train into itself at the test track...

Quite a lot, from reading about it. Signals, points etc. as well as having to speed up / slow down at the right points for curves / gradients, to let other trains ahead of you etc.

You also have to dress up as a train 'manager' (or whatever they call themselves now) and do the tannoy things too! :D

Sim (dare i say it...) games like this always look really, really dull

Personal taste innit - I find some other genres boring, yet others love them. I see a game like this as a change of pace and it can be relaxing to lose yourself in it for a while.

Thanks Op.

Been looking at this for a While but allways thought it was too pricey.

It looks like it is a limited time offer judging by this image ripped from somewhere:

Can you go careering through a station and maim a few waiting commuters?

If not I think I'll give a miss.

P.S. Are there dedi's in MP?

Any more opinions? I've recently got back into Sid Meier's Railroads and want to try something else trainy now.
