I noticed that BLUR & Darksiders are not up on steam when they used to be.

I hear that Darksiders is steamworks so there's hope for that one with buying the disk.

I can understand things not having a UK release not yet but why have as UK disc release for the games but not a steam digital one when there are digital elsewhere & UK from other game digital services.

Exclusive distribution deal, I'm afraid. It'll be another download service or a retailer that's paid to have the game exclusive to them.

Sucks big time, especially when high street retailers do it, like they did with Metro 2033, because ironically it's those same retailers who have done their level best to kill off PC gaming by not stocking PC games because they can't make huge profits selling them second hand.

I can understand Exclusive digital distribution deals for a time but not indefinitely, that will be a nightmare in the long term for everyone or certainly not for so long as what i have been seeing with BLUR.

And they wonder why people pirate them if they're forced to pay through the nose because 1 retailer ramps up the price instead of it being competitive...

I assume this is just affecting the UK as per usual? Because Finland still has it at 50 euros (lol). I'm pretty sure they only do it because the GBP/EUR exchange rate sucks as usual and it prevents people getting it gifted because they have to settle for exclusive store prices plus shipping instead of a neat little gift via steam...
