I don't know if this is new but it is the first time I have come across it.

So today I got a mail from steam telling me someone had gifted me black ops:row, naturally I was excited because it was the first time I had received a gift and it was something that I wouldn't mind having but wasn't willing to pay for.
Anyway I checked it for scam and such because I did not recognize the friend name. Low and behold none of the links on the mail were legit.

ps, lazy cropper

Report it to Steam mate, I know people who wouldn't check and would just go "Free stuff innit" and just click without noticing.

I honestly don't see how anyone's Steam can be compromised now, since they have that stupid **** where you need to log into your e-mail account to verify a computer.

Well unless you have your Steam account pass and e-mail pass the same, but who is that silly?
