Steam seriously needs to sort itself out

Was Steam terrible when it first came out? Yes
Is it now extremely reliable, well stocked, and easy to use with friends integration? Yes

Used it since it was beta, only problems are release days for me.
Otherwise it's been great.

It goes down now and then but usually not an issue because it's so good the rest of the time.

I noticed the download estimates on Steam were a bit odd at times last night but no other real problems that I saw, it's usually pretty reliable in my experience.

Cannot recall being booted from a game because of Steam. Punkbuster yes, Steam? Nope.

I reinstalled CSS via steam the other day - I simply logged in and downloaded the game, as I had it registered. I wouldnt have been able to play it otherwise, as Ive no idea where the original cd is.

Absolutely fantastic, I think. Though the download speed fluctuated massively for me from 5mbps, right down to 1.5 mbps.

Ive never had any issues with steam dropping me out of games, only issue ive ever had is when offline mode was very dodgy a few years back. Never been dropped from a game, and afaik steam has never been down.

Happens occasionally where Steam disconnects, but oh well.
