Steam servers down??

Anyone else having problems with steam ?

its saying unable to sync with cloud and wont let me play online. :confused:

Yep they been down a shot while. Also on steam forums did say would be downtime.

We'll be updating some of the Steam servers Tuesday January 3rd, 2011 around 16:00 PST (GMT-8). Chat, game lobbies, and the community web site will be affected. Content downloads and game play should not be affected. Downtime is expected to be short.

The server update is taking a little longer than expected; we'll be back up and running as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience.

Seems down again 2nd time today if they testing things they should do it on test server. tbh getting a bit sick of steam lately been lot downtime and the xmas sale lag was stupid.

Has anyone else had any emails from Steam Guard today?
Just woke up and have had 5 emails during the night saying my account has been logged in from another computer.

Wondering if this is just a error thats caused by the steam servers being down or if i've been hacked? :confused:

Seems a bit bizarre. If your email account and steam account use the same password though I'd be worried. Best change passwords to be on the safe side.

Steam is definitely broke atm though. For some reason its removed all my favourites and I can't launch any games.
