is it possible to share a single steam account between 2 pcs like ps4 and x1 allow???
now family sharing would be ideal as i play completely dif games to my son. need to look into thatif one plays offline games then yes just set stream to offline mode. alternatively look into family sharing add that works very well, means a second account though.
can only play one instance of each game in family sharing though, can't have two people playing the same game

oh ok. so literally its totally pointless thenIt doesn't quite work like that, I think it's worded incorrectly above. If the main user is playing any game on a shared account, the second user can't start any games.
yeah it would be ideal. even if there was a monthly/yearly sub it would be worth itI wish it did work like the above, with all connected users being able to play different games at the same time, would well for my family.
so you can share the account and have 2 people playing at the same time. This seemed to work for me. My sons account has Parental controls set. This lets you select only the games you want him to see and he doesnt see the store/community etc. Share my account on his PC so my games list appears. Still under his account turn PControl off using my code, right click the games from my list and add to allowed list. Turn PControl back on and he can play say the new Flatout game which is one of mine while I play JC3.

im away to have a look at this at it would save me opening a new account just to buy a couple of games
thnx for reply i guess i dont play online much anyway so that would be no big problem at all. going to try setting this up tonight see how it goesNot heard of the method above but you can do that in general, with limitations. If you was sharing the library, you could put your Steam client into offline mode and then both of you can play the games. When in offline mode you don't get things like achievements, online etc.
It doesn't work the other way around though, he can't go into offline mode to play your games.
