Steam store down?

Hi all

Launching steam via PC allows me to get into existing games but throws up an error when trying to access the store. Tried to access steam store via a browser and the website cannot be reached.

Please can someone confirm whether this is just my machine?

Not just you. I've seen a number of people (including me) are having problems.

I can't access it either.

I think the Halloween sale started tonight, so that's probably the reason.

Ahh right, I got a wishlist email saying the above games was on sale so that makes sense.

Yeah, I got a similar email.

There'll be a boatload of people trying to access the site at the same time, give it another go in an hour or two.

Same here, opened up the email with load of wishlist sale items on there, clicked the 'Angels Fall First' link and the Steam site appears to be down. Guess it's getting hammered.

Steam store seems to be working for me. Unfortunately though the Halloween sale is displaying everything in dollars...

I think it is just the images on the front end of the sale - which seem to have been created as an image with the dollar sign and not regionalised - click on them and it shows the cost in £.
