Steam Store Layout?

I am sure this has been changed.

Everything is now centred and looks plain wrong with massive black borders either side.

Kind of of makes using ANY widescreen display which I imagine most people do, VERY pointless.

They seem to have removed the scroll bar from the "Promoted Items" at the top of the page so that is now static.

Don't know what made me think it had changed... I look at Steam almost daily.

It just seemed more narrow.

No you are right, this is recent. Today I believe.

Looks crap on my widescreen.

Theres about 4" black bars either side now on my 24" :\

It's a real noticable difference.

Just some visual padding here and there. I believe they are still working on effectively spamming your mind with strategically placed marketing for whatever most recent fad of their release schedule is. It is as much an art as it is a science, and they will always end up with a few upset wide screen steamers I pay it little attention, though.

Doesn't bother me as I never, ever, have Steam full screen.

It does that randomly, usually when theres something specific up there to grab your attention like a release. Doesn't do it much.

Tbh it never bothered me... i normally leave steam in its window rather than maximising it so i get the huge bars of nothingness.
