I've been using the Steam streaming service from my gaming rig to my media server, and it's been impressive even with the onboard graphics of a G3258. It got me thinking...

What would be the best solution for streaming the Steam library to a living room TV? Criteria would be as small as possible for portability, and as cheap as possible. A Raspberry Pi type device? As long as it could run Steam, have HDMI output and LAN input (Ethernet probably better than wifi?)

Looks promising, but I've got a feeling it will only be compatible with the Steam controller? Not a deal breaker, but a bigger expense.

Nope supports pretty much anything

It arrived today, and first impressions are mixed. It looks like decent build quality. It also acts like Teamviewer when it's connected to the host PC.

Unfortunately, picture quality isn't great. I'll fiddle around and see if I can get it looking as good as streaming to a second PC.
