Steam streaming of a non-Steam game, i.e. Red Dead 2?

Quick question for the more knowledgeable amongst us.
If I were to buy RDR2, is it possible to host on my PC in our study, and then using Steam to stream to a laptop in our lounge, such that it could be played on the big screen?

tried RDR2 today and the game started on the remote pc but all I was getting was black screen.
