Steam - TF2 - Download/Update issue

Just went to start TF2 to try out the new update.

My PC had been left on all night and so I assumed it would have already updated.

Now, it's says Updating Team Fortress 2 and the time remaining keeps jumping about from 1 second to and hour to 51 seconds etc.

In Steam itself it says Download stopping. :confused:

And I can't connect to my friends list.

All a bit wierd. Is it just due to heavy server use or is something in my Steam/TF2 install gone kaput?

It's because you touch yourself at night...

(Sorry always wanted to use that one

My money goes on heavy server usage, but it could be touching yourself at night.

Nope haven't tried that yet as it still says it's updating so wasn't sure if that would mess something up or not.

But, the time remaining seems to have settled down now, although still not accurate, it is going down in sequence.

Hahah I read that like you haven't tried touching yourself at night...classic.

But yeah, it's probably because the valve servers are getting ballbagged with insane amounts of requests to download the new content!

Give it time young skip, you shall be knifing peeps in the back by the time the sun sets!

Nope, I don't enjoy the Spy class.

I do like Sniper though so I'll give it a whirl before I go back to Engineer/Heavy.

Sniping is indeed awesome, I was never a fan until recently and then realised how damn good it can be!!

The one annoying thing is spies and lazy pyros not spychecking but with this new shield it could be really, really good fun

(Once the achievement has been unlocked, which could be never).
