Just wondering, will it soon or ever be possible to trade full games you have bought on steam?

Not gifts but games you have bought for yourself.

Is this the next stage in Valves "plans".

My mate thought he could trade his games with me, but the trading system is just for gifts I believe.

Nice, source?

I'd imagine there will be some kind of fee incurred, steam could potentially lose thousands of potential sales introducing such a thing

Why would they allow this? The publishers wouldn't allow it, and Valve would lose out on whatever commission they get per sale.

LOL, then everyone would stop buying games and just share them. It's like buying a DVD and torrenting it, then the company loses out because everyone is sharing the same copy rather than buying it.

Will never happen.

In my imagined system, if you traded a game it would be gone from your account so you would have to think hard about it.

It would make no difference though if you're bored with the game, just trade with someone else later, if you want it back.
