Steam: Unable to purchase any games?

Hiya Guys,

Had a very annoying problem for a while, where by if I click buy on a game it will do nothing.

Off I go to Steam support and find a related article, but I have followed both solutions?

Yet it still does nothing?

Anyone got any other suggestions? - I want a game, guess I'll have to actually buy it from a shop??? :confused:

disable user account control (UAC) in vista security settings

I had this problem when trying to buy the Orange Box.

I emailed Steam and received this:

Please follow the link below for more information:

Title: System Error: Steam is not a registered protocol
URL: http://support.steampowered.com/cgi.../std_adp.php?p_faqid=459&p_created=1147661735

...

However I received this after purchasing the OB through other channels, so don't know if the solutions work
