STEAM user just raped me!

This is just a sad state of affairs but as long as there is something to be made from doing it people always will, I know you know this now never trade unless you know the person personally and always buy through the regulated channels i hope steam well just have to wait and see.

I would also post on steam forums if there are any about the bad person litterally Name and Shame as you have done here.

Neither. Unauthorised key sellers are scammers by nature (since they sell most of their games against the T&Cs of the service, and possibly the law), so it's only logical that you couldn't expect their employees to be honest people.

I have nothing against personal trades between friends, or trades within a closed community like ours (Member's Market), but it peeved me a little that the OP would put Steam in capital letters in the title ("STEAM user"), as if Steam is in any way responsible for his, for lack of better words, stupidity.

I understand the frustration that comes from using the flawed system, though.

I don't think you know what scamming is. Ignoring or breaking Steam T&Cs doesn't make someone a scammer or mean that they're dishonest.

I'd probably report the other user to Steam just to make them aware that someone is using their service to scam people, but they're not going to be able to do much more than that.
