Does anyone else have issues with Steam and Vista?

Quite often I get an error when quit the game and tonight I've had one while playing CS: S.

It's quite annoying.

I used to get horrible errors with Steam on Vista x64. I don't install Steam properly and just run it from a backup that I've made therefore the client itself isn't installed but I just run the executable. I needed to actually install Steam again so all the right files and registry enteries were installed and I stopped getting the errors. So if you are using Steam from a backed up folder and haven't actually installed it, then I would try.

I run Steam from my D:\ drive, and don't bother reinstalling it ever. This is on Vista'64, and I've never had any issues.

The error most people get is a Source Engine error on quiting the game, it has nothing to do with Steam.
