Well worth it really.

I bought when available on original download release at £40 (ouch)...

Rebought at £4 simply so I can redownload at anytime.

Really good games, with several great leagues run by the fan community. A nice introduction before the legendary edition is released at the end of the year.

Yeah, there's two styles of play, the real-time version (which is nothing like and the turn-based version which is pretty much the boardgame.

can you explain it a bit then, is it a type of speedball game or is it a RTS sort of thing?
(never played boardgame etc before!)

nvm, just watched some vids on you-tube. think ill give this one a miss

Is the single player still awful? I think I remember the AI being fairly useless and easy to beat?

I hoped this would be brilliant, I hoped that it would be Chaos League but even better. Unfortunately the engine is a bit of a hog, the single player is a bit boring and I just didn't find it tactical enough. Shame, still it's a good game just not a great one.

A bit of warning, I was about to get this (been waiting for it to be on sale) but the legendary edition, which adds another 12 races to the game, is due out at the end of this year and it IS NOT an expandalone (like COH: Opposing fronts adding the Brits and PE but you didnt get the US and Wehr unless you own the original) as I thought and is rather being treated as a full sequel with all 20 (12 + original 8) races plus new features and current copies of BloodBowl will not be supported in it nor will they be receiving further patches.

So in other words unless you want this for cheap now, you may as well wait 2-3months and get the LE which has everything in this game plus a lot more.
