I got my self 1t hard disk i want to copy the game over to the new hd, Don't want to redownload my games.
do i have to uninstall steam? or do i copy paste it over then install steam to new hd?

just copy and paste. its fully portable

Copy and paste the whole Steam folder, then just run steam as admin.

If you're on Vista or Windows 7, it's a good idea to do this:

Once you copy your steam folder over to the new drive, reinstall steam into that folder.

Vista and & have some file permissions issues that can crop up, which may cause problems with some games when trying to save - and you may not notice its happening for a while.
