I bought Brink last night and since then whenever I try installing it it tells me the servers are too busy and doesn't download, but the game in my library comes up with 'play' instead of 'download' when I hover over it. I've tried on multiple servers, deleted 'clientregistry.blob' and restarted me computer. Nothing's working.

My mate who lives down the road started his Brink download fine.

Any ideas? :(

As you've entered the key for it etc, can you just put your mates downloaded version on pen and then stick it in your steam apps folder?

tried changing ur region download? *edit* never mind :D
tried Properties on games libary and 'verify integrity of game cache'

I had the same problem with F1 2011. Would n't let me download it saying servers to busy. After 3 days I raised a ticket with steam. They emailed back and said it would now work and it did so was something their end.

I had this problem with Left 4 Dead 2 (osx though) only way I could get round it was making sure EVERY file to do with the download was off my system then reloaded steam and did the client registry blob thing to get it to see it needed to start from the beginning.

Any idea where the game files download to? I looked around in the Steam folder and couldn't find anything

Make sure Steam is NOT running when you do this.

Default location is C:\Program Files (x86)\Valve\Steam\steamapps\common\

The folder should be in there. There will also be a smaller ncf file in C:\Program Files (x86)\Valve\Steam\steamapps. Delete that.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Valve\Steam is where you'll find the client registry blob file.

Other than clientregistry.blob, there are no Brink files anywhere...

EDIT: I can download all my other games fine... the plot thickens :)
