For some reasom I have to increase my voltage and power limit for steam VR not to crash my pc! I’ve noticed that is the only way to get steamVR this to work.

Anyone else with a Vive and 2080ti having issues?

Only time I've seen voltages effecting things like that is when the card is faulty :/

Assuming the PSU is good enough.

850w platinum psu. Should be good enough. Why do you say the GPU is faulty? Could it be a precision x1 bug?

The X1 software basically has a voltage slider that doesn’t increase the voltage it basically just allows for the usable range.

Theoretically it shouldn’t make any difference.

Beginning to think it is because I am using a adapter to plug the headset in (only one hdmi port on the card). So I’ll try getting a mdp to dp cable to see if that sorts things out?

Update on this. Tried a different adapter, tried rolling back drivers, tried reinstalling steam, tried taking cpu pc away. Nothing works apart from overclocking the GPU by changing the power limit to 130. I don’t even have to change the voltage!

As soon as I change the power limit no crashes and steam VR works. Oddly I can then change the power limit back to normal and steam vr still works!
