Steelrising launches Sept 8th. Its another souls like. It looks pretty good (ign have some recent youtube clips). It's made by Spiders the devs behind Greedfall. I will be watching reviews of this one as its £49 for the standard ps5 version and £58 for the version which includes November's dlc. Hopefully streamers will get early copies so it can be reviewed before launch.

I watched some gameplay a couple of months ago and it definitely piqued my interest. Hopefully it ends up as good as it looks. Greedfall was decent though I didn’t finish it as the framerate was pretty bad or so it seemed to me at the time.

I was the same with Greedfall on paper it sounded good but the framerate killed my interest. I've not tried the updated ps5 version though so it may have improved.

I have preordered this today so I could access the beta (I was planning to get it on launch anyway and the closed beta runs from today until 1 day before launch.)

I've only played for a few hours so far - it's combat seems decent - it has a stamina mechanic where if your robot runs out you can hit triangle to temporarily cool down and instantly get some stamina back.

I've faced 2 bosses which were decent fights both with different styles.

I have finally finished the beta level. It's absolutely huge with tonnes of interconnected shortcuts to unlock. The story seems really interesting (I generally skip stories in games). I'm genuinely surprised at how much I like it - it's one of those games that's better to play than watch on YouTube.

The only tip I will give is choose the character with the halberd weapon (soldier class). I found it to be by far the best starter weapon.

I will try to resist playing the beta again now as I don't want to spoil the new game experience on Sept 8th.

I will go back to gt7 on ps5 and just cause 4 on series x (although I'm doing the gamepass ult £1 for 3yrs trick tomorrow so this could change).

Interested in this, reviews seem to be pretty good (7/10) - has anyone read anything apart res/peformance etc between PS5 and Series X on this one? Wondering which to go for.
