Steelseries Apex Keyboard unresponsive after period of no use

If I leave my computer on overnight, for example, and then come to it in the morning, my keyboard is unresponsive. The backlights are all on, but no keys appear to be working. I have to disconnect from the computer and reconnect. Immediately upon doing that, it works perfectly again.

Any thoughts why that could be? I thought maybe power to the USB ports...
