I'm not sure if this is better suited for another subforums but im specifically interested in how this headset behaves on the PS4.

I'm looking to get a cheap(ish) wireless headset for my PS4 and this headset is one of the contenders. I've done a bit of researchand there have been complaints about about the volume of the speech through the mic even when adjusting the mic all the way up to the max on the PS4.

Can anyone who uses this on the PS4 tell me if this got fixed in a firmware update? I can't find any recent examples where it is still stated as an issue. I know headset mics generally don't have brilliant sound quality. I'm willing to overlook that provided others can still understand what im saying but to do that they need to be able to hear me.

I've seen both the Steelseries Arctis 7 and the platinum headset are both in the ~£100 price range atm but i'm open to other suggestions. I'm not too fussed about spending more but there seems to be an enormous gulf between the cheaper headsets and the more expensive ones and im not sure if i can justify it.

I'm expecting at least one comment to say gaming headsets are all trash but if you can point me to a fully wireless non gaming headset which has a mic and functions on the PS4 then be my guest.

The Turtle Beach Stealth 600 were recommended to me in another thread - really good imo, not sure if they are true surround sound mind, but they do the job for me at least.

Owning a set of Turtle Beach 520 Stealth and I think they’re the worst sounding headsets I’ve ever heard.

Those 600s are fine to me, but I'm no audiophile, so they might sounds like utter tosh to someone else :D

Nor was I but when I first got them nearly a year ago they sounded fantastic on the PS4. It was then I started to get used to them I started to question too much bass. Muffled mids amongst other and the more my ears started to hate them for clarity in vocals.

I'll give it an indepth look tomorrow. To be fair i usually discount Turtle Beach as they have that 'gamer' look to them but the pictures of it don't look too bad. I shouldn't really care what a headset looks like I guess but i know what it looks like on my head and that can be enough to put me off.
