So having just purchased a pair thinking I was upgrading from my Playstation Platinum Wireless I have to say I am extremely underwhelmed. For such a "premium" headset the sound quality I feel is terrible.

Playing a lot of COD I want to feel the base of the explosions whilst hearing every footstep of your enemy as they try and sneak up on you. I get absolutely none of this from the Steelseries.

I have tried so may different EQ settings and playstation audio settings and none come close to how my Platinum headset perform. To say I am extremely disappointed is an understatement.

I didn't know if any of you have had similar issues or what your EQ settings are but the Steelseries have 24hrs or they're returned :(

I'm pretty sure when I was looking at reviews for mine pretty much all of them said to opt for the wired version with console as the wireless DAC doesn't work with consoles too well. I adore my Arctic Pro Wireless and they top most best of lists online when keeping PC gaming in mind.

I'm still not sure what kind of wireless headphones would be good to go for if mixed usage between gaming and listening to music is required. Ending up giving up on the wireless dream and imported a pair of philips shp9500 headphones (with a tempotec sonata hd pro DAC). It needed some equalising to bump up the bass and dampen the sibilance but for its price it sounds incredibly solid and I never feel discomfort with my ears due to very open and spacy design.

I've been considering these as well but i'm not sure they're suitable as i'll be needing to use them with my Ipad via Bluetooth. Does anyone have any experience of using these with an Ipad for watching Youtube videos, Plex etc?

I use them on both my pc (2.4ghz) and Iphone(Bluetooth) simultaneously and they work really well. In fact its the reason I got them so I can use both MS Teams on my PC and take calls on my phone from the same headset. I also use them for gaming when I'm not working. They are not the world's best sounding headphones but they are certainly good enough for most uses and their feature set is great.

I think the audio in COD/Warzone has been complained about by lots of streamers etc..
It's definitely not as good as previous COD games. I've had my SS Arctis Pro Wireless headset now for around 2 years and it's been great.
Everyone has different preferences when it comes to audio so changing the settings to suit is a must. I have to say I haven't changed much and not really gone into fine detail on mine as they seem fine at stock settings but one of these days I will do some experimenting:)

Love the headset, but sadly paying for Dolby Atmos on the Dolby Access app made a big difference for how warzone sounds. Sadly is because I didn’t want to pay for atmos on the pc.

That is to the point when it gets disabled I notice the flatness of the sound instantly. When it first got disabled I was rebooting and looking for what could be the cause then noticed when devices get switched I needed to re enable atmos.

I used to run the arctis pro wireless, they're great just for all around use but the flappy headband thing did wear quickly and got annoying, and the DAC/OLED screen box did break for me after a year of use. I did end up managing to fix it but be aware of this. In my opinion the microphone on it is absolute ass and is defo not representative of the premium you pay for the headset. I would much rather a nice set of open back headphones with a gaming DAC like the sennheiser gsx1000 for just better audio, but for a wireless headset i don't think you could get much better/convenient.

I have noticed a lot of screen burn or at least taking ages to try and correct itself.

I’ll have to take a look at the software and see if you can view the balance elsewhere just incase.

Wireless wise, I’ve managed to have it connected the the pc in the house while I’m in the shed steaming the pc there. It’s the limit of the range though as it can disconnect. Pc is located near a window so gives it good line of sight.

I tried *a bunch* of wireless headphones before I settled on the Arctis Pro Wireless - returned all but the Corsair Virtuoso SE, which I really rated and would have been happy with, but the Arctis PW were on a *ridiculous* offer direct from the Steel Series site a couple of years back and I bought some to try them out. I think the quality of life features of the Pro Wireless are the USP for me - separate wireless and bluetooth connectivity, two batteries so you never have to plug in (honestly - so good compared to other sets, I can't believe it's not more common), really comfortable to wear for long stretches, and I hook my soundbar up to the DAC so that it automatically switches from soundbar to headset when I turn the headset on.

Sound-quality wise - eh, it's good but not great. I think the Virtuosos sounded better, but didn't come with all the other bells and whistles, which ultimately swung my purchase. I also paid for the Dolby Access, and the improvement is definitely noticeable.

I would prefer actual separate drivers for directional audio in games, as it's far superior to software emulated surround (come at me, I've tested both extensively). It's a real shame no-one seems to be making them anymore.

I can only compare to the Razer Kraken wired however my Arctis Pro Wireless has done wonders on my PC setup and just bought another similar set for the Arctis 7X for both Xbox Series X and the PS4. I was tempted by the corded Arctis Pro but figured if I have inbuild chat/volume controls on the headset then why not.
