I have used many keyboards over the years, most of which have been membrane type keyboards.
After dissapointment with a Razer Lycosa I have been using a cheap OCUK Gaming Keyboard made by Emperex, which has been surprisingly good.
I have finally taken the plunge and bought a new SteelSeries G6V2 with Cherry black switches, and all the fond memorys of my Commadore 64 have come flooding back
The G6V2 is pretty much the same as the SteelSeries 7G, but it does not include a wrist rest, a USB 1.1 Hub or Audio input/output jacks.
It comes with a gold USB connector and a PS/2 adaptor, which supports the best anti-ghosting in the business, you can press every single key at the same time!
From the description above you would think that buying the G6V2 would be a 'no brainer' but it's appearance may dissapoint some.
It looks like a basic Dell style keyboard and features none of the whistles and bells of many of the current gaming keyboards.
It does however, exactly what it is supposed to do, and it's built like a tank (seriously)
Pros:
Cons:
None of these negatives bother me in the slightest and I can honestly say it's one of my best purchases so far.

- Reasonable price for a mechanical keyboard
Cons:

None of these negatives bother me in the slightest and I can honestly say it's one of my best purchases so far.
