Why the hell is something that ugly acceptable. Thank god we have manufacturers like zowie and mionix that make mice with the best sensors without having you look like a 12yo :|

Who cares? It's under your hand most of the time.

Don't suppose you work for zowie/mionix?

Lol no :)

I currently use a zowie fk1. I tried to make the move to mionix naos 7000 as it has the same sensor but its a palm grip mouse and it just didnt work for me. Its still a well built mouse with a great sensor though which is why i would recommend it.

I took a look at a rival in ocuk the other day and quite liked it due to it being taller than my zowie and have been thinking about getting one (rival 300). Just commenting on how awful this one looks.

But when someone is asking for a recommendation for an FPS mouse, i believe they would be asking about well working mice that dont malfunction with a high speed sweep etc. You cant go wrong looking at what the top quake players are using and get a mouse with the same sensor. I just like my gear to look a little more professional not tacky :)

I don't think it's ugly, I suppose beauty really is in the eye of the beholder.

There's far worse looking mice around and as has already been said it's not as if you spend much time looking at it anyway.

I really like the look of this mouse and all the Steelseries I've owned over the years have been fantastic. I had a Zowie FK1 and hated it. Peripherals is such a personal thing. I guess that's why there is a proliferation of possibilities.

Looks good to me.

It has the benefit of a fast tracking sensor with the additional adage of extra buttons as sold per MMO/MMBA style....to me that just equals all round potential.

I'm well interested.

I've tried a Logitech G600, Razer Hex V2 and then a Roccat Tyon, as my Steelseries Sensei RAW didn't have enough buttons. The G600 and the Hex are too big for how I hold the mouse (fingertip), so the Tyon was the best compromise. It is still a little too large, but I can't justify buying a 4th mouse in 2 months, so a Rival 500 will have to wait... :-(
