Steelseries Sensei owners, a few questions

Hey all,

I've just bought a Sensei raw for use at work and absolutely love the ergonomics to the point that I now "need" to replace my home mouse, an original CM Storm Sentinel.

I'm considering picking up the fullblooded Sensei to replace it but have a couple of questions for current owners if anyone would oblige:
- How does profile swapping work? On the Sentinel you just flick between profiles with a dedicated button and the current profile is displayed on-screen
- Can keyboard actions/buttons be assigned to mouse buttons? Any macro recording abilities at all?
- Do the profiles reside in the mouse's memory and work without installed drivers? This isn't a huge issue but sometimes I'll use the sentinel with my tablet or HTPC and it's nice to just have the mouse work without additional software

If anyone wants to step in and tell me I'm making a huge mistake, that there is some other multi-profile gaming mouse available please do - I'm totally open to recommendations :D

Cheers for any advice,
Sean

Hi..

I had a Kai (very similar to the sensei), its the older brother & much the same.

Profiles are saved to the mouses memory, these are accessible by holding down the DPI switcher on the top. There is a LCD screen on the bottom of the mouse & you can scroll through profile's with the mouse wheel & selecting with pressing it down. Nice idea but I never used it TBH.
Macro's- again I never used them but I think its only mouse movements but again I'm not Sure ?
Saving the movements - I think you need the Steelseries engine to be open/installed, the only thing it saves is the DPI setting & abled button's...

Can be a great help but I hope I've done enough.

The Sensei mice are really comfortable. I like mine a lot although I dont use it as a main mouse.

I was annoyed that I let a full fat Sensei go on a clearance price at my local purple shirt place for £15. I was gonna pick it up but the missus complained about my desire to spend money on stuff I dont need and i backed off. Gah!
