Steelseries Siberia Elite

I've been using the H-Wireless recently, and my first thought when putting on the Elite was amazement at the comfort and lightness, I've not worn then for long periods yet, but my ears ache to try them out for a day or two to see how they perform. Getting some very good reviews though.

Full disclosure, I started working for SteelSeries at the start of the month! I'm no fan-boy though and own plenty of Logitech, Razer, Roccat etc gear!

My V2's mic has just died so I'm using a clip-on at the moment. Ideally wanted to get one of these before Christmas. Fingers crossed it's any day!

Benihana, how well does the yet to be released Wireless H headset perform ?

I really like them, great range and battery life. I've only used them with Skype and Spotify, so its hard to say what they are like for a hardcore gamer, but sound quality has been really good even when you're at the limits of the wireless range. Very comfy as well, but comparing to the Siberia Elite or V2 they are heavy, but thats too be expected from the batteries etc inside.

Thanks for the info, want a headset for my consoles and movies for evening/late viewing (elder neighbours) haven't any experience with surround sound headphones but these look like they will work with pretty much anything.

Yeah they are great IMHO, but I've not used many others for comparison, certainly not wireless, but the Dolby feature can be disabled which I think is worth mentioning.

I got a set of these for Christmas.. initial thoughts are that the max volume is pretty damn poor, and considering how many people have said these are super comfy.. for me they are too tight on my head and actually hurt a bit after 30mins or so.. hoping the band will become less tight over time..

Also because of the leather cushioning for the ear pads I get an echo type sound which is a little weird.. probably just something I'll get used to..

Other than that no issues.. ^^

^^ I also find mine really tight on the head but after 2 weeks of use they are getting much better to be honest. I guess we just need to break them in a bit or we just have big heads :D

I have no problems with the volume but I do use a Soundblaster Z sound card.

i presume you cant have the shiny lights on if you're running it through a sound card?
