Steelseries XAI mouse macros not working

I have a Steelseries XAI mouse, which I cannot get the macro's to work. I am on software/Firmware versions of 1.42 running on W764. I have also tried it on XP with no luck. Each time you try to assign the macro and save the profile the app just crashes. Any body know how to get it to work?

I assume , your logged in as administrator on XP and configurator is running in admin rights (on vista/win7)?

As it ever worked for u or just appeared after some time of use ?

Tried both of them with admin rights, and it's never worked, always crashes when you try to save the profiles.
