My first ever interest in steering wheel.

Wanting to use with F1 2012 and Shift 2 and upcoming Dirt 2. Which do you think I should get, I want something with some sort of force feedback like the Logitech G25/G27.

Cant afford a G25 or a G27 so my budget is £100
Been looking at the Thrustmaster Ferrari GT Experience and the Logitech Driving Force Gran Turismo.
Is their better choices or is the Logitech the best in my budget?

A few people I know use the Driving Force GT and say its good, I've not tried it so I cannot compare, I use the G27 and I love it.

Second hand G25 can be had for £100. Otherwise as above the GT is pretty good value for money.

Given the games you've given though I'd opt say go for the GT, none of those games are considered to have sim like physics.

Driving Force GT. It's a plastic extravaganza, but it's quite sturdy. The force feedback is pretty powerful, smooth and sensitive, the motor is a bit noisy.

The clamps work OK from my experience, The paddle buttons are not very good but functional, you do have a shifter, feels a bit flimsy.

the wheel itself is pretty slim but has a good size, pedals are beggar (not up to the quality of the rest), it's 900 degrees turn radius, so a nice feature for the price point.

That or the Thrustmaster F430, which I prefer for the feel and quality, but is only 270 degrees. Not necessarily a bad thing in itself.

When you hit £100, you will always compromise.

This sums up my feelings.

The DFGT is a cost cut G25. I would say the F430, if you don't mind the more limited turning (like a F1, rather than a GT car). The F430 hasn't caught fire yet :)

So the Trustmaster F430 is the better than the Logitech in the support of future games?

If there were somewhere to try the things out it would be half the battle but its all down to personal preference. I had a Logitech Formula Force EX a while back and to be honest I didn't drive any faster with the G27 when I got it, it just had more functions and felt better in my hands, at the time the FFEX was £45 and the G27 £299, laptimes were similar.
EDIT: Not sure about the thrustmaster but the Logitech warranty service is usually second to none.

If I cannot find a G25 for under or around £100, I will stick with the brand I know Logitech DFGT.

You can pick up second hand Fanatec setups for that sort of money if you forgo a shifter etc. I haven't been able to deal with gear FFB since moving to my GT3RS's belt system (saving up for the CSR Elite's eventual replacement at the minute).
