Hey all, I am interested in getting a steering wheel that is compatible with both my 360 and PC. I would like it to be properly supported and work with Forza 4, but I am happy tweaking it for PC racing games. I would like wheel, 2 or 3 pedals, up/down gear lever or a 6 speed 'proper' gear lever. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm not looking to spend more than £100, new or used.

Cheers!

I've personally got an official microsoft one that I bought for the 360, and have one of those wireless adapters that you can use to connect it (and your 360 controllers and other wireless microsoft peripherals) to the PC. It's got force feedback which is really good to have, and has a flappy paddle gear change system, which you may or may not like. Oh and it's got 2 pedals.

You may have to go second hand to get one of them though, as I am not 100% sure if microsoft still make them, I got mine new a year or 2 ago for around £80, so if you were looking second hand it'd be less than that, and the adapter is pretty cheap too :).

I'm personally happy with the wheel, but if you are a hardcore racing enthusiast there are probably better wheels out there, but they're over the £100.

If you've got any other questions about that particular wheel I'll try my best to answer them for you :D

The 360 wheel is decent, but as you said they don't make them any more. I also read, that force feedback doesn't work on pc but since you said that it did l will definitely consider getting a wireless receiver now to use it on my pc.

Thanks for the answers! I am not too interested in force feedback (I have it turned off with my 360 controller in every game) so I'll look into that. The CSR wheel is about £200 too expensive for me :D

I didn't actually test the ffb on the PC . I just tried to connect it and it was recognised so I assumed it would work fine. I've only properly used it on the 360, but i read on their website and on various forums that it would work. But I wasn't aware of the issues with ffb on the PC :(. Maybe don't buy that receiver so quickly. My bad
